The Hybrid Total

WHAT IS THE HYBRID TOTAL?
The Hybrid Total is our starting point.
A simple, honest test of all round fitness, built to give anyone a reason to train with purpose.
It combines classic strength and endurance tests into one shared event, scored fairly, on one leaderboard.
Accessible enough for a beginner to work towards. Robust enough for a competitive athlete to belong.
THE TEST
The Hybrid Total is made up of six familiar movements, split across strength and endurance:
STRENGTH
- · Back Squat
- · Bench Press
- · Deadlift
ENDURANCE
- · 10km Bike
- · 1km Ski
- · 1 Mile Run
No gimmicks. No novelty movements. Just work you can train for.
WHO IT'S FOR
The Hybrid Total isn't about crowning "the best athlete in the room".
It's about giving:
- · Newer members a clear goal to train towards
- · Regular gym goers a meaningful benchmark
- · Competitive athletes a format that actually holds up
Everyone shows up to the same event, tested on the same movements, measured fairly.
HOW IT'S SCORED
Every lift and every endurance test is scored using the Challenger Score.
We use real-world performance data and modern statistical modelling to add context to raw performance, so effort is seen for everyone.
That means:
- · Beginners aren't labelled
- · Strong athletes aren't capped
- · Endurance specialists still have to lift
- · Strength athletes still have to move
Your score reflects what that performance means for you, not just the number itself.
ONE EVENT. ONE LEADERBOARD.
There are:
- · No weight classes
- · No age groups
- · No sex splits
- · No labels like Pro or beginner
Just one competition, open to everyone.
The challenge is against yourself but the arena is for everyone.
